If you are trying to find out whether or not Delta 8 gets you high, and have taken an interest in Delta 8, you probably already know that Delta 9 THC is. You may have even tried cannabis or Delta 9 THC. What you may not know, though, is whether or not Delta 8 THC gets you just as high if not higher than cannabis and Delta 9. If that is the case, you are in the right place. In this article, we are going to discuss the highs between Delta 8 and Delta 9, and from there you can decide which one is best for you!

What is Delta 9 THC

In case you didn’t know, we are going to briefly go over Delta 9 THC. Delta 9 THC is the most common cannabinoid found in cannabis plants. Unlike hemp, which is restricted to having less than 0.3% Delta 9 THC by law, marijuana is grown to have a Delta 9 THC potency as high as 30% by weight. This is the cannabinoid everyone is referring to when getting high from pop culture, to your cannabis consuming relatives. But that isn’t going to be the only cannabinoid talked about for long. Now, there is another cannabinoid that is also a form of THC, but this time it is developed from hemp plants, not cannabis. This cannabinoid is called Delta 8 THC, and with its widespread popularity and legal acceptance, it is on track to becoming just as popular if not preferred to Delta 9 THC from cannabis.

What is Delta 8 THC

Delta 8 THC is the heart of our brand, and the best alternative to Delta 9 THC from cannabis. Delta 8 THC is created by converting concentrated CBD extracted from hemp. Because of this, Delta 8 THC doesn’t face the same federal discrimination that comes with Delta 9. Under the 2018 Farm Bill, Delta 8 THC is federally legal, as it is derived from hemp and technically not Delta 9 THC nor extracted from cannabis.

Delta 8 VS Delta 9

All cannabinoids react with what is called the endocannabinoid system in your brain. This system reacts differently depending on which receptors are being activated. These receptors react differently depending on the strain and cannabinoid that you are consuming.

With Delta 9 THC, we know that when coupled with different combinations of terpenes and other cannabinoids, we get different types of highs. This is also true with consuming Delta 8. However, many people claim that the high from Delta 9 is twice as strong as the high from Delta 8. Because Delta 8 is half the strength of Delta 9, many people who consume Delta 8 enjoy how manageable it can be.

Is Delta 8 less intoxicating?

Delta 8 being not as intoxicating as Delta 9, allows consumers to ramp up their high safely and with ease. Many Delta 8 consumers agree that Delta 8 THC provides the benefits of the high from Delta 9 without the mental drawbacks like paranoia and anxiety. If Delta 9 is taking you from 0 to 100, then Delta 8 will take you to a nice but controllable 50.

Delta 9 products can not only be illegal in your local area, but they may also be a bigger bang than you’d expect. Not only is Delta 8 less impairing than Delta 9, it may also be legal in your area. While Delta 8 is not federally illegal, Delta 9 still is.
